How will you be remembered? You have the opportunity to leave an amazing gift to help secure a child’s future.
Please consider making a lasting gift to ensure that our efforts to help children in Savannah will continue. There are many ways to give to Greenbriar other than an outright cash gift. You may wish to consider one of the following:
A Bequest
A bequest in your Will or Trust naming Greenbriar Children’s Center as a beneficiary will help to ensure that your giving continues and is an easy way to support our future efforts. A bequest may be a specific dollar amount, or even a certain percentage of your estate.
Retirement Assets
Retirement assets, such as 401K’s or IRA’s, may comprise the largest share of a donor’s savings portfolio. In many cases, however, retirement assets may also be the highest taxed asset in a donor’s estate and, in addition, a beneficiary may have to pay income tax on distributions received. Naming Greenbriar as a beneficiary of a portion of your IRA may result in tax savings, as well as help to accomplish your charitable goals.
Life Insurance
In the event that you have additional life insurance that your family or beneficiaries do not need, you may wish to consider naming Greenbriar Children’s Center as a beneficiary of a portion of your policy.
Please note that Greenbriar Children’s Center does not provide estate planning, legal or financial advice. However, we are happy to work with your attorney or financial advisor to discuss methods of gifting that may be available to you. For further information, please contact Cherie Trice, Director of Development, at ctrice@greenbriarchldrenscenter.org, or contact her at (912) 234-3431.
Greenbriar Children’s Center is a (501) ( c) (3) non-profit organization. Thank you for helping!
